As both a US resident and a Mac user, finding a decent (and safe) casino to gamble with can be quite a chore. In fact, it is for this reason specifically that I often don’t even bother looking for new places to play. Bodog (which recently changed to Bovada.lv for US players) is a nice site, and I’ve grown accustomed to it. Still, even a really good site like Bovada gets old eventually. That’s why I went on a hunt for other reputable online casinos that offer instant play versions of their games to US residents.
The first casino I tried was Aladdin’s Gold. They gave me a free 25$ chip for signing up, so I didn’t feel like I had anything to lose. To be honest, if I were a PC user, I would probably be pretty impressed with this site. The characters and site design were interesting, colorful, and well-done. The Welcome bonuses looked quite appetizing and you can claim as many bonuses as you like for the first 7 days after you’ve signed up. This seemed like an awesome deal, so I was really hoping this site would have something to offer me. Of course, the wagering requirement was 30x so I had to play through $500 if I was going to take anything home, and it could only be done on slots, keno, and bingo. That’s pretty standard rules so I wasn’t surprised. I was, however, disappointed when I actually got to the game section. There were only 14 slots I could play as no-download version. Are you kidding? Out of the entire Real Time Gaming portfolio? I played through what they’d given me and then checked out. 14 games just isn’t enough to suit me.
Well, RTG sometimes sells their licenses piece-meal, so I decided to take a chance on another RTG casino in the hopes that it would be one with more flash-based games. I decided to try HighNoon Casino. It’s another elaborately themed site with really well-done graphics and site design. If you were judging by the quality of their site animations, you’d sure think they had a lot to offer strictly online players. Sigh- but again I was disappointed. HighNoon had exactly the same offerings as Aladdin’s Gold. Moreover, the wagering requirement was 50x. So with 60$ free dollars, I’d have to wager through $3,000 before collecting any winnings. Never mind, I say.
Now, I’m sure that both of these are awesome casinos if you use a pc, especially for US players since we have limited options. In the end though, I was bored by the offerings and unimpressed with the T&Cs of the sites. If anyone out there knows of another casino I can try with a Mac, drop me a line. For now, I’m just heading back over to Bovada.
